Reminders:
-Registration fee is $100 per child for all families.
-Preschool for 2008-09 will be open to 3 & 4 year olds.
-Illinois Transportation Reimbursement form is due by May 9, 2008.
The Christ Our Savior Talent Show will be held on Saturday, May 10th at 5 P.M. at the West campus. Tickets are $8.00 for adults and students ages 13 years and up and $6.00 for children ages 3-12.
Grade 8 students who are parishioners of Our Lady of Knock, St. Victor, St. Jude, Holy Ghost and Queen of Apostles parishes will receive the sacrament of Confirmation tomorrow, Friday, April 25 at 7 P.M. at St. Victor Parish. Bishop Garcia-Sillar will be the main celebrant. Please keep our Confirmandi in your prayers.
Our School Improvement Visitation has finally arrived. The team of visitors will be in our school from Wednesday, April 30 through Friday, May 2. Thank you to the teachers and staff who worked so hard in their committees to prepare for this evaluation; a special thank you to the committee chairpersons who coordinated all the information for their groups-Mrs. Kiekenapp, Mr. Piros, Mrs. Lau, Mrs. Gifford, and Mrs. Lewis; thank you to our parents, students, and community members who filled out surveys earlier this year; thank you to Mrs. Brodzik, our Reading Specialist, who is the team leader for the evaluation, for her many extra hours of service in the evenings and during vacation time in helping us prepare for this visit; thank you to Mrs. Connie for all of the typing of the document that needed to be compiled; thank you to our maintenance staff for the preparation and cleaning of the building; thank you to Mr. McMillen for completing the many computer and other extras that were asked of him. What a great job by all of you in getting us ready!
Progress Reports for the fourth quarter will be sent home on Thursday, May 1. If you have any questions about the report, please contact your child’s teacher by phone or letter.
What can you do with all those old but still usable shoes? Jenna Santacaterina and Student Council have a solution. Start cleaning your closets and get those shoes ready! Details about the SHARE YOUR SOLES SHOE DRIVE will follow soon.
Congratulations to our students who participated and were winners in the Ladies Auxiliary Ehinger Bros. VFW #8141 Americanism contests. Trophies, citations, ribbons, and monetary awards will be presented to the student winners on Monday, April 28 at 7 P.M. at the Post Club Room in Calumet City. Student winners received invitation letters this past Monday. We are proud of your patriotism as displayed in your coloring, posters, and essays!
